Just a closeup to see some of the details better. The spider web on the dress was a lot of fun to do.
At this point there's still nothing fancy going on. Just the same few tools I always use. The airbrush, pencil, and a blender or two. No selections, gradiant fills, or any of that fancy stuff. I just like to approach it in a more 'painterly' style. Using very few layers here, just to keep me on my toes :) (I used to use many, many layers for coloring. Mostly because I was afraid of 'messing up' somewhere when I wanted to experiment.
Now I've learned to just go with it :) and hope for the best. Paying attention to things like color theory (buy a color wheel!), lighting, warm and cool color combinations....things like that.
